Rick Fritz is a certified professional geoscientist with a proven record of finding petroleum reserves. He has broad experience and understanding of potential reservoirs in North America especially in the Mid-Continent, Gulf Coast and Rockies. Fritz has an excellent record in managing and developing successful teams. Plus, he has a worldwide list of valuable contacts he has made in his career. Rick is currently the GEO-CEO of Xplora Energy, Inc. a U.S. independent Texas Series LLC. From 2015 to 2019 Fritz was CEO for Council Oak Resources, LLC an EnCap start-up company out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Council Oak or COR was designed to be a highly technical group specializing in “grass-roots” exploration plays. During this time the COR team discovered and developed a new play in the lower Osage Black Porous Chert with RORs in the 30-60% range. From 2011-2015 Fritz was a Senior Technical Expert for SM Energy. He was the team lead for the New Ventures Corporate Exploration and as such was responsible for developing new plays in North America. He worked 4 years in this position and developed 11 new play concepts for carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. Fritz started his career with Exxon in 1978 and developed plays in South Texas and the Anadarko Basin.
